Delfina — an award-winning Italian restaurant in San Francisco's Mission District

Owned by Annie and Craig Stoll, Delfina is a neighborhood trattoria with a national reputation. Delfina serves a daily-changing menu of modern and traditional antipasti, handmade pasta, pizza, local meats and seafood and desserts all driven by local producers, fishermen, ranchers and farmers' markets. Chef Craig Stoll's cooking is informed by his time cooking in Piemonte and Tuscany but the menu draws inspiration from all regions of Italy as seen through the prism of the Bay Area.

Craig was named a Food & Wine Best New Chef in 2001 and won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Pacific in 2008. The restaurant underwent a complete design update in 2022 which drew upon Delfina's legacy with an approachable, fun but sophisticated sensibility, infusing warmth across the dining room. The Cal-Ital wine list runs deep on Italian producers, with a Rare Pressings reserve list for older and harder-to-find bottles. The meticulous bar and cocktail program, headed by Colin Gallagher, leans heavily into Italian spirits and Amari.
